Fussy and Fancy Challenge 7...Easter!
It's time for our Fussy and Fancy Challenge! Easter is our theme(can't believe it's that time of year!) I didn't feel like making a card, so I went through my closet of crafts. This unfinished box was begging to be decorated=) I went through my paints, my scarps of DP paper, and buttons. I painted the box and decoupaged the background paper. The handle I made with leftover beads. I water colored the Tilda and tree with Stampin'Up ink.
Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend!

Going Green!
Once again, Friday is here. Not just any Friday, but Fussy and Fancy Friday!
I used the green more as an accent color, than going totally green=) The wonderful image from Sweet Pea Stamps reminded me of stained glass. I found my paper with a wonderful stained glass design and that helped inspire this card.
I used StampinUp! inks to watercolor the image and my new Spica pens for the sparkle highlight! This is going to be a birthday card for my sister. Happy Birthday, Jennifer=)

Let's Go to the Movies!
It's time for another Fussy and Fancy Challenge! I am so excited!! I love our theme for Challenge 5... Movies. One of my favorite movies (and plays) is The Phantom of the Opera. I've seen the play three times when it was out here in LA. Once with the original Phantom, Michael Crawford. The second time I saw it, I was able to meet Davis Gains, who played the Phantom. Then a couple of years ago, I took my husband to see this amazing play. I look forward to the day I can take my kids and they can share in my little obsession:)
My card was made from paper scraps.
The sentiment is one of my favorite songs from the first act. I wrote it out with a white gel pen and sponged the edges with white ink.
All the embellishments I found in my collection of drawers!
I drew the mask and blended the pencil to get the shading right. I sponged the edges with black ink, which really adds to the drama.
Hope you enjoyed my little creation. Thanks for stopping by!
Now I need to enter this into some challenges!

Cards for the Girls
I made these cards for the "Activity Girls" at church. They're all the girls from age 8 to 11. We had a brunch last Saturday commemorating 2009 and their accomplishments. The girls brought different projects they made and I used these cards as name plates to display next to them.
I need to start keeping a list of the supplies I used=)
All the paper is from Stampin Up. I also used my new Martha Stewart punch(Valentine's gift from hubby!)The super cute Tildas, I watercolored with a blender pen and Stampin' Up inks.
These were so much fun to put together! Thanks for stopping by.

Fussy and Fancy "DAZZLE" Challenge
Yes, I am a Twilight fan. I had a lot of fun making this card for my husband. He truly "dazzles" me! He loves green and black. The colors worked nicely with the cute little "Edward" image I drew. I don't have any "guy" stamps, so this worked=) I colored my image with Stampin' Up inks and watercolor pencils. The paper is all Stampin' Up, except for the print. That came from another drawer I have... The "super cute paper" drawer! All the embellishments came from my many drawers=)
If you were dazzled by my creation, check out the rest of the amazing Design Team at Fussy and Fancy! You will be dazzled and amazed and truly inspired by their wonderful works or art!

Project 2 for Art Class
Have you ever made a head out of masking tape? Well, I have!
Masking tape, newspaper and and empty soup can.
That was the next assignment in my art class. I had to make a realistic portrayal of my head. I wish it could have been of someone else. I really don't like drawing myself. Oh well.
Since I had to think of the project from all angles, I had my husband take about 50 pictures of my head. *Sigh* After I pouted over the pictures, I got to work.
Forty hours later this is my finished product. Hope you enjoy!

Fussy and Fancy Challenges 2 & 3
I am working on getting my blog up to date. My Fussy and Fancy Friends have motivated me to keep it up =D
Challenge 4 is coming Friday and I need to get my projects from Challenges 2 and 3 posted...
Challenge 2: WINTER
We had some amazing entries for this challenge. I was so inspired by the many talented women that posted their cards and projects. Our sponsor for this challenge was StampInsanity. We were able to work with their wonderful images from the "Henry's Snowman" set. What a fun image!!
I made a gift bag. I took a white paper lunch bag and cut it down to the size of paper I wanted to use. The blue background is stamped with a fun swirl stamp in white ink (all StampinUp! products) I colored the image with a blender pen and StampinUp! inks. I used a little puffy paint to outline the snowman, just to give it a hint of dimension. The buttons are from my Bucket-O-Buttons. Now I have to think of what to put in this super cute bag!
Challenge 3: HEARTS
Our current challenge at Fussy and Fancy is hearts. Stamp Happens is our amazing sponsor this week. What an inspiring site. Go check it out!
I had so much fun creating this card. I think I am in love with BoBunny paper! The stamps used were "Cherished Clearly" stamps by BoBunny and "Lauren in Love" is a beautiful Paper Makeup stamp. I used white ink with the sentiment and blender pen with StampinUp! ink on the fairy. The doily and wooden heart buttons are from "the drawer" and the ribbon is from my very large "ribbon drawer."
Thanks for stopping by...
Can I start a New Year's Resolution in February?
Resolution: Post to my blog at least once a week.
Well, I'm gonna do it anyway=) So see you next week!

Where Have I Been?!
I can't believe I have been away from my blog for so long. I spent January sick...yuck!
I also started spring session at school. This session I am taking a Three Dimensional Art class. It's fascinating. Normally, a teacher tells you exactly what they want. Not in this class.
First project's direction: "Make something that represents you, metaphorically, out of 4 pieces of Bristol board." That's it... no examples, no suggestion, just...it's due next class session! CRAZY!! But I had so much fun figuring this project out. I was challenged and inspired and forgot to keep up with posting on my blog=)
Now here is that crazy, fun project that I put over 10 hours into. I got 100 out of 100 points and my teacher wrote:
"Excellent transformation from flat smooth Bristol board to organic, swirling, non-papery form. Your experiments with the butterflies in negative space and more 2 dimensional depiction was a creative and clever juxtaposition!!(Yeah, I had to look that up, too)

Happy New Year!
What a great way to start the new year... crafting! This is a key or necklace holder. The pattern I used I got from a Tole painting class I took. I decoupage the two wood pieces that make up the purse. The black paper is a beautiful velvet paper and the fabulous paper for the base is from my "paper that is too cute to throw away" drawer. The fun fairy is from Paper Makeup.
I am so excited to see The Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog come to life! Hope you all enjoy it.
