I'm Still Alive!

After Finals and Christmas, I can breathe again... and create!
This is my Fashion History Notebook for one of my classes. It's over 70 pages of fashion from "Early Man" to the 1980s. I won't bore you with the inside but I love the way the cover turned out. This represents about 50 hours of my life.
By the way, I got an A!

Card Done, Homework Not!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm not much of a cook or chief or baker, so we're heading to the In-laws for the greatest feast of the year. Yeah!

My morning was filled with cardmaking and homework. Okay, okay... I didn't get to the homework, but everyone left me alone so I could finish this card. lol

This is for SPCC#25. I used a super, cute Paper Makeup fairy and the saying came from StampinUp set "Cute & Curly." Ribbon, paper, and trim all came from my "things I know I will use someday" drawer. I highly recommend you start a drawer like this.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful holiday!

Yeah! Another Card!

Wow! Time is going fast. Every year I forget how fast time flies after Halloween. It's been crazy busy... kids are on modified school days this week and all of next week off. What's up with that?! But I had to make a card, at least one card. To keep in the groove=)

I love the color combo challenges at SPCC. This is #24. I thought I was going to make a Christmas card. But after watching Bolt with my 2 yr old, I started thinking of the big farm house and open range at the ending. Strange how things inspire one.

The bird is from StampinUp set Cute Critters. The buttons and roses are from my "leftover drawer." After a project I don't throw anything away...I organize it! Now I am using it. Yeah!
Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Having Fun

I am doing the SPCC challenge again. The color combos really get my creativity flowing! This week I made two entries for the challenge. Again, I used stamps from Paper Make-up(I can't get enough of these faires!) as well as, Stampin' Up. Enjoy!

Hi there! I am trying my hand at cardmaking and blog challenges! Thanks April, Mindy, Juanita, and Jennifer! You have all inspired me to take the plunge into a new world.

This card was inspired by the SPCC #22 challenge. The stamp is from Paper Make-up (I love their fairies!) Ok... here's to my first post! Enjoy.
